Women's Soccer Beats Navy for Ninth Victory

COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Maryland's 19th-ranked women's soccer team (9-5-2) had its largest scoring output of the season in a 5-0 victory over Navy (8-7) at Ludwig Field tonight. The game was played in a heavy rainstorm.

The scoring was started by junior forward Keri Sarver, who scored her eleventh goal of the season off an assist from junior Robin McCullough, 6:40 into the game.

Sophomore defender Jackie Mynarski scored her third goal of the season 13:01 into the game off McCullough's second.

Junior forward Emmy Harbo then opened the scoring in the second half with her seventh goal of the season at the 66:39 mark.

Sarver scored her second goal of the game at the 74:28 mark with an assist from Harbo.

Senior forward Natalie Rich then scored her first career goal at the 85:33 mark with an assist from junior defender Marybeth Egan.

Freshman goalkeeeper Alli Wolff recorded her fifth shutout of the season with four saves.

The Terps will play Virginia in Charlottesville on Wednesday Night at 7:30. Virginia is currently ranked No. 5.
