As a freshman (2012): Saw action in 49 games and started in 16...spent time as a pinch runner, designated player, outfielder and at second base...hit .171 on the season with seven hits and 22 runs scored...went 2-for-3 vs. Virginia Tech (March 31).

Before Maryland: Played outfield and was a pitcher at Blue Springs High 2008 season, team went 31-0 and ended up first in the 2007, team went 27-5 and finished third in the state...named All-Big 7 conference in softball (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010), All-metro softball in 2008, 2009, 2010 and All-area in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010...coached by Roger Lower...also ran track...named All-State in 2007, 2008, 2009...finished fourth in the state in the 4X100 in 2008 and 6th in 2010...was fourth in the state in the 4X200 in 2009...ran 100 meter dash in 12.3 seconds and 200 meter dash in 27.3 seconds...coached by Jennifer Reeder.

Personal: Bria Tonae Taylor...parents are Joe and Macie Taylor...if she played another sport at Maryland, it would be track...came to Maryland because of the "Beautiful campus, great coaching staff and the girls on the team are great"...has two dogs, Cocoa and Sissy...wants to become a sports magazine designer...graphic design major...also considered Florida State and Northern Iowa.
