As a senior (2012): Served as the Terps' workhorse in her senior year...made 46 appearances and started in the circle in 40 games, pitching 268.2 innings...pitched six solo shut outs and held opponents to one earned run or less in 26 games...allowed three hits or less in 21 games...named to All-ACC Team...led ACC in opposing batting average (.175)...finished second in the league in strikeouts with 309, strikeouts looking with 95 and third in innings pitched (268.2) and wins (27)...broke Maryland's record for most strikeouts in a season with 309, set by Kelly Shipman in 1999...finished the year No. 8 in the NCAA in strikeouts...her 268.2 innings pitched and 46 appearances were No. 2 in Terps history... No. 2 in Maryland's career record books with 790 strikeouts in her career...finished third in school history in complete games (52), appearances (139), and innings pitched (630.2)...helped lead team to 14-2 record to end regular season and clinch third straight NCAA Regionals appearance for first time in school those 16 games, pitched 102.2 innings with a 1.36 ERA, 20 earned runs, 121 strikeouts, a .139 opposing batting average and four shutouts to clinch their postseason bid.

As a junior (2011): Pitched 121.0 innings with an ERA of 1.79 (No. 4 in the ACC)...finished the season with 142 strikeouts (No. 7 in the ACC) and opponents hit just .181 against her (No. 2 in the league)...was No. 6 in the ACC in strikeouts looking with 44...No. 3 in the league in fewest hits allowed (75) and No. 2 in fewest runs (39) and earned runs (31) allowed...showed strong performance throughout the her 3.0 relief innings in the circle in the ACC Tournament, she did not allow a hit or an earned run and just one unearned the NCAA Regionals opener, she came on in the second inning vs. East Carolina and gave up one hit, no runs over 6.0 innings with 10 strikeouts (May 20)...the next day, she gave up just two hits and no runs in 3.0 innings to Lehigh, while striking out the team's final game of NCAA Regionals, she gave up just one earned run and two runs total to East Carolina (May 21)...notched 16 strikeouts against Pittsburgh (Feb. 25).

As a sophomore (2010): Became vital part of team's pitching staff ... led the team in strikeouts ... earned her 300th strikeout ... in 177.1 innings in 39 appearances, she carried an ERA of 1.70 on the year, which was top five in the ACC ... also top five in the league in strikeouts with 251 ... named ACC's Pitcher of the Week three times (March 9, March 23, April 27) fifth Terrapin to break 250-mark in a season ... recorded 18 strikeouts against Towson (March 6) ... had nine games with double-digit strikeouts ... along with Hickey, broke Terrapin team record for strikeouts in a season with 471 ... the duo also led the ACC in ERA for most of the year (1.71) ... had 15 complete games, five shutouts and two saves on the year ... threw first career no-hitter against Columbia (March 17) ... broke school's top 10 in career strikeouts with 339 ... hit first career home run against Hofstra (March 30) ... hit five doubles on the year.

As a freshman (2009): Earned a spot as one of the team's three starters ... played in 15 games and started 12 ... ERA was 4.20 and win-loss record was 1-6 with 2 saves ... compiled 88 strikeouts, including 10 against Pittsburgh on Feb. 8 ... only three attempts at the plate, but earned two hits ... one stolen base on the year.

Before Maryland: Earned all-Beach District, all-region and all-state honors as an ace pitcher at Salem High School ... named school's Athlete of the Year following her senior season in 2008 ... averaged nearly 15 strikeouts per game during her final season ... struck out 20 of the 21 batters she faced and scored the only run in a 1-0 victory that enabled Salem to claim the 2008 Beach District softball championship ... finished her senior year with seven no-hitters along with two perfect games ... won 20 games as a junior in 2007 to help guide Salem to the Beach District regular season title ... a four-year starter ... coached by Jason Barefoot ... played club softball for the Hampton Road Vipers under coach Howie Bryan ... also recruited by Boston College, Virginia and Virginia Tech.

Personal: Daughter of Keith and Romina Knight ... has one brother, Keith Jr. ... opted to attend the University of Maryland because she liked the coaches, the location and the academic offerings ... thrives on the competitive aspect of playing sports ... was a member of the honor roll during high school ... has participated in various community service functions, including Relay for Life and food drives ... favorite colors are red and black, which represent the colors of both her high school and college teams ... enjoys watching sports and listening to music in her spare time ... criminology major.
