CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Saturday's doubleheader between Maryland and Boston College has been postponed due to inclement weather.
The teams were scheduled to play a pair of games beginning at noon and another contest on Sunday.
The Terrapins (32-20, 7-10) and Eagles (15-30, 1-17) will now play a doubleheader on Sunday with first pitch scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Shea Softball Field. The third game of the series will not be rescheduled.
The Terps are looking for their fourth straight ACC series win. They have taken series from Virginia Tech, North Carolina and N.C. State the last three weekends.
The Eagles are coming off of a weekend series with Virginia Tech, in which they claimed their first conference win of the season. Boston College currently owns the all-time series 9-7, but the Terrapins won two of the last three meetings in 2009.
Both teams will head to Blacksburg, Va., next week for the ACC Softball Championship. The tournament begins on Friday.
