COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland softball team looks for its first ACC win this season when they play host to #24 Virginia Tech in a three-game series starting Saturday with a doubleheader at 1 p.m. The series concludes on Sunday at 1 p.m. with game video available live on ACCSelect.com.

The Terps (22-7, 0-3) come in having lost three close games to a tough North Carolina team last weekend in Chapel Hill, N.C. Senior Jenny Belak had six hits over the weekend and stands just 20 hits shy of the school record for career hits. Belak is third in the ACC with a batting average of .385 and currently holds a seven-game hit streak.

Maryland's Sarde Stewart hit her team-leading fourth home run of the season against the Tar Heels and is third in the ACC with 22 RBI. She leads the conference with a slugging percentage of .683

Virginia Tech comes to Maryland following one of the biggest upsets in softball history after the Hokies defeated the US Olympic team, 1-0, Wednesday night. Hokie pitcher Angela Tincher pitched a no-hitter and was one walk away from throwing a perfect game from the circle.

Tech (23-9) is 5-1 in ACC games so far this season. The Terps are 9-5 against the Hokies all-time. Last year, Virginia Tech took two out of three down in Blacksburg, Va.

All three games this weekend will broadcast live on WMUCsports.com. Sunday's game will be available via ACC Select, the conference's broadband video network.
