COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland softball team plays host to Georgetown in a doubleheader scheduled for 4 p.m. The Terps come in with a 27-10 record, 3-6 in Atlantic Coast Conference play. Both games will be available live on WMUCSports.com.
The Terps took two of three from Florida State over the weekend when senior Sarde Stewart's walk-off, two-run single defeated the Seminoles, 4-3, on Sunday afternoon. On Saturday, the Terps won the first game, 3-1, while FSU took the second, 3-0.
Georgetown comes in with a record of 18-26. The Hoyas are led in all three major batting categories by Samantha Peters, who is batting .393 with three home runs and 11 RBI. Jennifer Connell has seen most of the action in the pitching circle with a record of 13-19.
The Terps return to ACC action this weekend when they travel to Raleigh, N.C. to take on NC State in a three-game series.
