COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland softball team plays host to Delaware State in its first non-conference doubleheader since ACC conference play started this season. The first game is slated to start at 5 p.m. and both games will be broadcast live on ACCSelect.com. The Terps are 23-9 on the season, 1-5 in ACC play, while the Hornets are 11-15, 1-2 in the MEAC.
Maryland senior Jenny Belak stands just 16 hits shy of the all-time record in Maryland history. She leads the Terps with a .383 batting average that is second best in the ACC. She also leads the Terps with 12 stolen bases, 44 hits and 20 runs scored.
Delaware State's Sha Tabor leads the Hornets with a .347 average, six home runs and 24 RBIs. The Terps have won all seven games between the two schools. Last year, the Terps won both meetings, 5-2 and 6-3.
Both games will be available via the ACC's broadband network, ACC Select. The Terps return to ACC action Saturday with a doubleheader against Florida State.
