Watten, NFCC to Host Coaching Clinic

COLLEGE PARK, MD. - The University of Maryland and Softball Coach Laura Watten will host a coaching clinic by the National Fastpitch Coaches College (NFCC) from Oct. 12-14. The clinic will focus on team defense and strategy, and will be held in Room 1400 of Marie Mount Hall on Campus.

The course offers a star-studded group of instructors, including Linda Wells, Carol Bruggeman, and Sharon Drysdale.

Wells, currently the former head coach at Arizona State, is an NFCA Hall-of-Famer and has also skippered the Greek National Team. Drysdale, the NFCC Director, has also been inducted into the NFCA Hall of Fame and currently leads the New England Riptide of the NPF. Bruggeman is the associate head coach at the University of Louisville.
