As a Junior (2003): Ran in five meets during the 2003 season... partnered with Becca Funk to open the season with a ninth place finish at the Charlotte Cross Country Relays on Aug. 30... posted a season-best time of 22:55.95 at the Paul Short Invitational on Oct. 4... competed at the ACC Championships and NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional competition.
As a Sophomore (2002): Lowered her 2001 times at all four meets she returned to in 2002...recorded a seaon-best 5,000 meters time of 19:39.84 at the Navy Invitational...season-best 6,000 meters time achieved at the Paul Short Invitational...competed in NCAA Regionals and in the ECAC Championships race.
As a Freshman (2001): Lowered her 2001 5k time of 19:42 to a 18:46 at the Outdoor ACC Championships in 2002.
Before Maryland: At Toms River High School in Toms River, N.J., she won varsity letters in soccer, cross country, and indoor and outdoor track...was on the honor roll...in 2001, was on the First Team All-County cross country, the Third Team All-Shore cross country and the First Team indoor track in the mile...her team became the 2001 South Jersey Group 4 State Champions.
