As a Senior (2005): Returned to action after missing an entire year due to injury ... competed in all seven races for the Terps ... placed 26th at the Great Meadows Invitational with a time of 19:02.0 ... at the Great American Cross Country Festival, came in 60th in 18:58.20 ... finished 32nd overall in a time of 18:51.1 at the IC4A/ECAC meet.

As a Junior (2004): Did not compete due to injuries sustained during previous track and field season.

As a Sophomore (2003): Emerged as the Terps frontrunner in 2003... top Maryland finisher in all six races that she competed in... earned ACC Performer of the Week honors after her performance at the Maryland Invitational where she finished second overall with a career-best 5k time of 17:56.14... narrowly missed qualifying for nationals after finishing 14th at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships with a career-best 6k time of 21:10... earned All-East honors after her performance at ECAC Championships on Nov. 22.

As a Freshman (2002): Was a consistent competitor for the Terps, running in all but two meets...lead the team twice, both at the Paul Short Invitational and the ECAC Championships...season-best 5,000 meters time of 18:35.4 was posted at the ECAC Championships University Race, where she took second place.

Before Maryland: Won varsity letters in soccer, cross country and track at Centennial High School in Las Vegas, Nev....was part of two Nevada State Champion cross country teams...served as captain of the cross country, track and soccer teams...named to All-Division, All-Region and All-State cross country teams two times...named as one of the Top Ten Student Athletes in Nevada during her senior year...inducted into the South Nevada Legends Hall of Fame...was the division and regional champion in the 1600m and 800m...named to First Team Northeast Division in soccer...was All-Division, All-Region and All-State in track for two years...participated in D.A.R.E., the drama club, Key Club and the student newspaper.

Personal: Daughter of Patti Lind and Dan Carney...has three brothers, Andy, Cody and Jeff...enjoys reading, hiking, camping and photography...majoring in journalism...chose Maryland over Arizona State, Syracuse, Montana State, Nevada and Nebraska.
