As a Senior (2004): Ran in five races, posting his best overall finish at the home ACC Pre-Meet... finished 11th at the pre-meet before running a season-best 26:50.5 (8k) at the ACC Championship meet... finished fifth on the team and 17th overall at the Mount St. Mary's Duals, running a 16:06.46 (5k).

As a Junior (2003): Competed in six of the Terps' eight races... posted a career-best time of 25:48 at NCAA Pre-Nationals on Oct. 18... finished in top 75 at IC4A Championships, coming in at 70th out of 141 runners.

As a Sophomore (2002): Lowered his 2001 times in three meets in 2002...led the Terps at the Sept. 28 Paul Short Invitational with a 25:33.14 to take 43rd place overall...posted a season-best time of 25:29.1 at the Indiana State Invitational on Oct. 5...lowered his time at the ACC Championships by nearly one minute...competed in the NCAA Regional Championships.

As a Freshman (2001): Finished in 26th place with a time of 27:20 at the ACC Preview on Sept. 29...ran a 26:49.69 at the Paul Short Invitational on Oct. 6...held a 15th place finish at the Maryland Invitational on Oct. 13 with a time of 27:24.94...improved his high school time in the mile of 4:26 to a 4:00.21 at the 2002 ACC Championships.

Before Maryland: Won varsity letters in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track at River Hill High School in Clarksville, Md....led his team to two state cross country championships and two state indoor track championships...was the MVP and captain of his team in 2001...was a two-time individual regional champion...was the leadoff runner on a 4x800 state champion team...was a member of the National Honor Society with a 3.92 GPA.

Personal: Son of Rosemarie and Jerome Fleg ... has three brothers, Anthony, Jerome and Stephen ... likes to play all sports ... favorite athlete is Cal Ripken ... majoring in government and politics, and criminology.
