As a Senior (2004): Had top 10 finishes in his first two races of the season... ran a season-best 26:07.13 to finish in eight place at the JMU Invitational... finished second overall at the ACC Pre-Meet, running a 26:28.02... finished third on the team and 43rd overall at the ACC Championships... narrowly missed a new season-best, running a 26:08 to finish 61st overall at the ECAC Championships.
As a Junior (2003): Ran in five meets for the Terps... ran a season-best 26:25 at the Paul Short Invitational on Oct. 4... competed at ACC Championships and NCAA Regionals.
As a Sophomore (2002): Competed in six meets for the Terps...ran a season-best time of 26:21.1 at the Indiana State Invitational on Oct. 5...second-fastest time was posted at the ACC Championships, where he ran a 26:30.0 to place 45th...competed at the NCAA Regionals on Nov. 16, running the 10k in 32:24.8.
Before Maryland: Attended Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, Md., where he won varsity letters in cross country and track...his team won third place at states in 2001 and fifth place in 2000 and 1999...was the regional champion in the 1600 meter and 4x800 meter...served as team captain for two years...was named MVP three times...won a Wildcat Sportsmanship Award...was all-county and received an All-Metro honorable mention...placed third at states in 2001 in the two mile...was the county champion in the 4x800 meter...at UNC Wilmington, won a varsity letter in cross country.
