2010 CROSS COUNTRY - Competed in five of six events for Terps... Ran third on the team at the Navy Invitational, going 27:07.1 over 8K course to place 66th overall... Scored for Maryland at the ACC Championships, placing 86th overall and fifth on team at Boston College, going 26:16.8 over 8K... Also scored at Penn State National, with 27:33 clocking over 5.2-mile route... Sixth Terrapin across the line at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional, placing 151st on Penn State 10K course at 34:21.

2009 CROSS COUNTRY - Ran in opening event of the season, finishing ninth among team at UMES Lid-Lifter... Went 27:55.9 over 8K course and finished 26th overall.

BEFORE MARYLAND - A.P. scholar and honor roll student at Eleanor Roosevelt HS in nearby Greenbelt... All-American at 5,000 meters with 4th-place finish at Nike Indoor Nationals... Nine-time P.G. County champion and six-time region champion in distance events... Finished third at state championships in 3,200... Pre-Maryland personal bests: 800 - 2:00.3; 1,600 - 4:25; 3,200 - 9:30; 5K - 15:12.

PERSONAL - Came to Maryland majoring in biochemistry with an idea toward a pre-med concentration... Youngest of three brothers... Parents are Robert and Karen Faherty... Volunteered at local hospital... Senatorial and Delegate scholarship winner... Grew up pretending to be a Washington Redskins player... Came to Maryland due to coaching staff and the outstanding academics... Chose Maryland over American and Villanova... Enjoys the outdoors.
