As a Freshman: Indoor- Finished second in the 3,000 meter run at the Delaware Invitational with a time of 10:42.13...took seventh in the mile at the Terrapin Invitational...Outdoor- Set team-best time in the 10,000 meter run at the VCU Ram Invitational, winning the event with a time of 32:21.83...raced to a third-place finish in the 5,000 at the Maryland Invitational with a time of 18:41.99.

Before Maryland: Attended Towson High School in Towson, Md. where she ran three years of varsity cross country and two years of varsity track...played one year of basketball as a forward...was the captain of her cross country team and her school's Athlete of the Year in 2002...was named the Baltimore Sun Player of the Week and the Baltimore Metro Runner of the Year in 2000...was named first team All-City and All-County for cross country...was a two-time Maryland cross country state champion...was recruited by Mount St. Mary's, Towson, North Carolina and American.

Personal: Mary Corinne Koch...born July 15, 1984...daughter of Mary and Tim Koch...has two younger sisters, Leslie and Kyle plays basketball for Loyola College...enjoys cooking...majoring in food science.
