As a Sophomore: Indoor- Set team top time in the 3,000 meter run at the Meyo Invitational (8:28.95)...earned two second-place finishes in the mile, at the Maryland and Delaware invitationals...finished second in the 1,000 meter run at the Delaware Invitational...Outdoor- Team leader in the 800, 1,500 and 3,000 meter runs...finished second in the 5,000 meter run at the Maryland Invitational, running a 15:17.10...took seventh in the 800 meter run at the VCU Ram Invitational with a season-best time of 1:57.49...finished seventh in the 1500 meter run at the Patriot Open, with a time of 3:57.02.

Before Maryland: Attended Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, Md., where he won varsity letters in cross country and track...his team won third place at states in 2001 and fifth place in 2000 and 1999...was the regional champion in the 1600 meter and 4x800 meter...served as team captain for two years...was named MVP three times...won a Wildcat Sportsmanship Award...was all-county and received an All-Metro honorable mention...placed third at states in 2001 in the two mile...was the county champion in the 4x800 UNC Wilmington, won a varsity letter in cross country.
