UNC Asheville, who finished second by a score of 20-25, put the first two relay tandems across the finish line, but Maryland was able to rack up the top overall team score. On the men's side, the Terps notched the first and second spots to earn the team title, defeating the defending Conference USA champion and race runner-up Charlotte 49ers, 9-49.

The duo of senior Kim Smith (Glastonbury, Conn.) and sophomore Allison Carney (Las Vegas, Nev.) finished third in the 3K race with a time of 21:48.
