The Maryland women's cross country team finished in second place overall at the James Madison Invitational on Saturday, finishing with a total of 32 points. James Madison took first place with 23 points and swept both the men's and women's events.
Meghan Braffet led the way for the Terps, finishing in second place (19:21) for the second consecutive race to start the year. Maryland finished nine points back of race-winner JMU, as both the men's and women's team took home second place finishes.
Virginia Commonwealth came in third place with 89 points, followed by Howard (138), George Mason (154), Radford (164), Lynchburg (171) and Bridgewater (191).
