Gray Finishes Fourth on Final Day of Competition at IC4A

Princeton, NJ - Earl Gray placed fourth in the 200 meters to lead University of Maryland performances on the last day of competition at the ECAC/IC4A Championships yesterday.

Gray ran a 21.58 and finished just behind event winner Richard Phillips of George Mason (21.08). In the men's 400 meters, Sean Lowe placed fifth with a time of 47.66.

On the women's side, Toni Aluko tied for sixth in the high jump with a mark of 5-07.00. The sophomore also placed in the triple jump, posting a jump of 37-10.75, which was good for 27th.

In the 400-meter hurdles, Chanel Williams placed seventh with a time of 1:02.04. Jillian Anwah and Bria Johnson rounded out the top-ten in the women's shot put, placing ninth and tenth respectively. Anwah posted a mark of 46-06.00, while Johnson had a throw of 46-05.50.

Overall, the Maryland women place ninth with 27.50 points, while the men placed 25th, with 13 points. The Pittsburgh women won the meet with 87 points and George Mason won for the men with 59 points.

The Terps return to action on May 26 and 27 when they travel to Greensboro, N.C. for the NCAA East Regional Championships.
