Four Terps Named to All-ACC Team

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Four members of the University of Maryland's women's track team were named to the All-ACC team today.

Juniors Candyce DeLoatch (Pittsgrove, Md.) and Cathy Porter (Millersville, Md.), sophomore Vanessa Jones (Olney, Md.), and senior Dessalyn Jolley (Trenton, N.J.) all performed well enough at the ACC Championships to make the women's All-Conference Team.

DeLoatch took second place in the 400 at the ACC's with a time of 54.73. Jolley placed second in the heptathlon with a score of 4656. Jones finished second in the high jump with a leap of 5-8. Porter won the hammer with a school-record toss of 180-10.

The top two finishers in each event at the ACC Championships are named to the All-Conference team.
