TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Senior Rob Frelow had a solid outing in his final performance for the University of Maryland at the league championships, while freshman Dominic Berger showed promise for the future with his performance Saturday at the final day of the Atlantic Coast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Florida State.

Frelow placed third in the men's 400-meter dash, running a season-best mark of 47.31 seconds to also qualify for the IC4A Championships upcoming in March. Berger lived up to his second-seeding from the prelims to finish second in the final of the 110-meter hurdles, running a season-best 14.09 seconds, the eighth-best mark in school history.

The pair also teamed together on the men's relay squads, leading Maryland to a third-place finish in the 4x400 relay and a seventh in the 4x100 relay.

As a team, the Maryland men scored 32 points in the meet to take ninth place. The Maryland women finished with 28.5 points to place 11th in the team standings.

Peter Hess placed fifth for the Terps at 5,000 meters, running 14:25.50, while Florent Groberg (3:54.61) and Mike Fleg were eighth and ninth in the 1,500. Adam Durham added a point for the Terps in the 110-hurdles with a season-best 14.63. Sean Lowe joined Frelow by scoring in the men's 400, placing sixth at 48.65.

The best finish of the day for the Maryland women came from freshman Toni Aluko, who was fourth in the high jump at a season-best and ECAC-qualifying 5-7.25. Meghan Walsh tied for seventh at 5-5.25.

Meghan Braffet was eighth in the women's 5,000, running 16:50.41 to qualify for the NCAA East Regional in late May and the second-best mark in recent history at Maryland in that event.

The Maryland women's relay teams were sixth in both relays, with junior Renee Clarke running anchor on both foursomes.
