2007 INDOOR/OUTDOOR TRACK - Redshirt season.
2006 OUTDOOR TRACK - Had the Terps' second-best time in the 100 meters, going 10.95 at the Aggie Team Challenge early in the season... Had three of his four marks under 11 seconds... won the Navy Invitational in 10.99.... Tied for 12th at the ACC Outdoor Championships with a 10.98 clocking... Best 200-meter mark of the season came with 18th-place finish at the ACC Outdoor with 22.03 mark... Won the Navy Invitational 200-meter dash in 22.27.
2006 INDOOR TRACK - Placed 16th in the 60-meter dash at the ACC Indoor in a season-best 7.03... Also ran at ACC Indoor in the 200, again posting a season-best at 22.39, going more than a half-second better than his previous indoor best (22.91 at the Virginia Tech Invitational).
2005 OUTDOOR TRACK - Competed in the 100 meters at the Patriot Open where he finished 12th in the preliminaries
2005 INDOOR TRACK - Qualified for the IC4A Championships in the 60 meters during the preliminaries of the ACC Championships where he placed 16th... also competed in the 200 meters and placed 28th at the New Balance Collegiate with a time of 22.38.
2004 OUTDOOR TRACK - Competed in the 200 and 400 meters at the Patriot Games, finishing first on the team in both.
2004 INDOOR TRACK - Ran a 7.00 60-meter dash to win his first collegiate race, the Delaware Invite... took third place in the 60-meter dash at the Patriot Games (7.03), while also running the first leg of the 4x400 relay... took first in his section of the 200 at the Meyo Invitational, running a 22.06.
BEFORE MARYLAND - Washington Post All-Metro honorable mention and Athlete of the Year in 2003... an all-county, all-state and all-region selection... Gatorade Athlete of the Year Nominee... Track and Field News Top 25... a Junior Olympic Qualifier... National Honor Society member.
PERSONAL - Son of Josephine and Cyril Duru... three sisters, Edith, Edina and Vivian... cousin Crystal Awonyu was a member of Seton Hall's track team... also lettered in football at Suitland.
