COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland seniors Ally Krikorian and Kesley Cofsky finished their last home meet with a flourish as they led the No. 24 Maryland gymnastics team to a dominant victory over Central Michigan and Yale.

The Terps fell behind after the second rotation, but two standout balance beam routines from Cofsky and Krikorian righted the ship and put the Terps on track for a total team score of 196.025.

"You can't write a better script," said head coach Brett Nelligan. "For the two seniors to step up the way they did on beam. Ally gets a 10 from one judge, Kesley wins the all-around - I mean, it's perfect. It's a perfect ending to an incredible career."

Maryland started with an odd rotation on vault, with Nelligan only sending five gymnasts after scratching freshman Alex Zimmermann. The remaining gymnasts pulled through with strong scores, led by junior Katy Dodds' 9.925. Maryland posted a 49.175 in the event.

The Terps moved to uneven bars and were led with a 9.750 from Cofsky. After the second rotation, the Terps were down, 97.725-97.750, to the Chippewas. Maryland headed into the next rotation on beam, looking for a big performance.

The seniors stepped up for the Terps, with Cofsky scoring a 9.875 and Krikorian earning a personal-best 9.925, including a 10 from one of the judges. Sophomore Stephanie Giameo finished the event with a 9.900, and the team walked away with a 49.050.

"I think the turning point was the two seniors on beam," said Nelligan. "Back to back, we had to hit those routines. It was just so fitting that Kes and Ally would step up, right in a row. Once they hit that, we knew we could do it."

Maryland coasted to the victory on floor exercise with strong performances across the board. Dodds led with a 9.900 and Krikorian earned a 9.875.

Cofsky won the all-around title for the first time in her career with a 39.275, narrowly beating Central Michigan's Brittany Petzold (39.225).

Maryland travels to West Virginia for a tri-meet with Rutgers on March 15 at 7 p.m.
