#24 Terps Celebrate Senior Night Sunday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 24 Maryland gymnastics team plays host to Central Michigan and Yale on Sunday, and will honor seniors Ally Krikorian and Kesley Cofsky in the team's last home meet of the season at 5 p.m. at Comcast Center.

The Terps (12-2-1, 7-1-1 EAGL) are coming off just their second loss of the season to No. 11 Auburn, 195.300-196.825. Maryland had won three consecutive matches before the loss to the Tigers.

Junior Katy Dodds continued to be a rock on vault, scoring a 9.925 to take gold. Dodds also scored a team-best 9.875 on floor. Sophomore Stephanie Giameo paced the Terps in the all-around with a 39.075 and now ranks 24th nationally.

Scouting the Chippewas

Central Michigan (10-4, 3-2 MAC) won its third consecutive meet on Thursday with a 195.725-191.775 decision over Alaska-Anchorage. The team scored a 49.075 on floor and won all four events. Brittany Petzold won all-around gold with a 49.075 with first-place finishes on bars and floor.

Central Michigan currently ranks 21st nationally on uneven bars. The Chippewas are competing in their third meet in eight days when they travel to College Park. Maryland and Central Michigan haven't competed against each other since 2009.

Scouting the Bulldogs

Yale (3-13, 1-6 ECAC) finished fourth behind New Hampshire, Towson and Brown in its last meet at the New Hampshire Invitational. The Bulldogs posted a 190.925 and were led by Joyce Li, who scored a personal-best 9.800 on bars, and Tara Feld, who finished with a 9.775 on vault.

Maryland and Yale last competed in 2010. The Terps came away with a 195.825-199.700 win over the Bulldogs.
