George Mason Outlasts No. 4 Maryland
COLLEGE PARK, MD - Unranked George Mason scored a goal with 0:47 left to play in regulation to lead the Patriots to a 2-1 victory over the No. 4-ranked Maryland Terrapins. Senior midfielder Vincent Marcotrigiano scored an unassisted goal from the left angle in the box to break a 1-1 tie. George Mason (1-0) got on the board first with a goal by freshman forward Eduardo Lima at the 71:32 mark. The Terps answered on a goal at the 83:41 mark with junior Joe Marshburn connecting on an assist from Leo Cullen. Maryland (0-1) meets Seton Hall on Sunday, September 1 at 2:00 p.m. at Ludwig Field.
