Before Maryland: Competed for Osbourn and coaches Dave Larson and Eric Mauk all four seasons...selected first team All-Cedar Run, first team All-Northwest Region, second team all-state, second team All-Met for the Washington Post, and first team all-area for the News and Journal Messenger...captain of the team and won the Cedar Run District and the Northwest Regional a freshman and sophomore, the Eagles were district champions, going 14-1 in 2007...a four-year starter, Tatum was tabbed second team all-district and named to the preseason all-area team in 2010...competed with the Virginia State ODP in trips to Germany and Costa Rica...squad was 2003 ODP champs and region 1 champs...also played for McLean Academy.
