KANSAS CITY, Kan. - MAC Hermann Trophy finalist Patrick Mullins has been named a 2012 NSCAA First Team All-American, joining teammates John Stertzer and London Woodberry, who snagged third team honors.

Mullins earns the prestigious honor after being named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year while leading the Terps to conference regular season and tournament titles in 2012. The junior forward from New Orleans, La., guided Maryland back to the College Cup for the first time since 2008 and boasted team-highs in goals (17), assists (10) and points (44). He also garnered Most Valuable Player honors at the 2012 ACC Men's Soccer Championship and landed on the all-tournament team at last weekend's College Cup.

Stertzer was the backbone for the Terrapin midfield all season long, racking up seven goals and seven assists while mentoring a young Maryland squad in 2012. It marks the second consecutive season the Oakton, Va., product tallied NSCAA Third Team All-America honors. The captain also registered All-ACC first team accolades as a senior.

Woodberry, a native of McKinney, Texas, anchored the Terrapin defense as one of the top centerbacks in the nation in 2012. The senior also aided Maryland offensively with three goals as a second-year starter for the Terps, who ended the year with a stellar 20-1-3 record.
