COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The sixth-ranked Maryland women’s basketball team will host Georgia Tech Sunday at 2 p.m. at Comcast Center. The Terrapins will look to win their 14th straight game and fifth straight over the Yellow Jackets.

Maryland (15-1, 3-0 ACC) is coming off of a 77-62 win over Syracuse Thursday. National Player of the Year candidate Alyssa Thomas led the way for the Terrapins with 19 points and 11 rebounds for her 14th double-double this year. Freshman Brionna Jones added a career-high 18 points and 10 rebounds for her first career double-double. Brene Moseley and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough each scored 10 points.
The Terrapins forced 21 Orange turnovers, while committing just nine and Maryland’s bench outscored Syracuse’s 44-24.
Georgia Tech (12-5, 2-2) beat Wake Forest, 79-63 Thursday. The Terps are 47-18 all-time vs. the Yellow Jackets and have won the last four straight matchups. Last year, the Terps won 66-57 in Atlanta on Jan. 20. Alyssa Thomas led the way with 28 points and 10 rebounds and Alicia DeVaughn had 11 points and 12 rebounds.
The Terrapins are ranked No. 6 in the latest Associated Press and in the USA Today Coaches polls.
Next, Maryland will head to Virginia (8-9, 1-3) for a 6:30 p.m. matchup in Charlottesville Thursday. The Terps-Cavaliers game will be shown on RSN, which includes Comcast SportsNet locally, ESPN3 and more channels across the nation.
