OCEAN CITY, Md. - Maryland kicked off its 2013 Coaches Caravan Monday night in Ocean City in front of a group of Maryland fans and Terrapin Club members at Galaxy 66 Bar and Grille.

Deputy Director of Athletics Nate Pine was joined by football coach Randy Edsall, wrestling coach Kerry McCoy and golf coach Jason Rodenhaver. The group talked with fans, took photos and signed autographs for the Maryland faithful in attendance.

"We couldn't have asked for a better night for this event," said Pine. "It is very important for us to get out and spread our brand, especially here in Ocean City. We were excited to get to talk with our fans and Terrapin Club members who are so important to our student-athletes."

Maryland basketball color analyst Chris Knoche hosted the event, which included remarks from Pine and each coach, as well as highlights from the 2012-13 seasons. Knoche then opened it for questions, with fans asking about a wide range of topics from outlooks for the upcoming season to excitement about joining the Big Ten in 2014.

"It was awesome to come to Ocean City," said McCoy. "Everyone was fired up to be here. It was a great way to start off the Coaches Caravan."

The Coaches Caravan continues on Thursday in Annapolis with Kevin Anderson, Edsall, Missy Meharg and Sasho Cirvoski.
