On Roundtree: A physical force who had the most productive season of his career at defensive end a year ago … one of the strongest players, pound-for-pound, in the history of Maryland football … led defensive linemen in every strength/athleticism category (bench press, clean, squat, vertical jump and 40-yard dash time) after last year’s testing … strength index of 831 is the highest of any player at any position in school history (surpassing the record of 796 he set a year ago) … combines a 475-pound bench press with a 740-pound squat, a 35-inch vertical jump, a 352-pound clean and jerk and a 4.63 time in the 40-yard dash … showed speed, athleticism and an ability to get into the opposition’s backfield a year ago.

2001 (Junior): Started every game but one at defensive end ... finished the season with 27 tackles (15 solo), five tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and a fumble recovery … sack total was second best on the team … had a team-high 12 quarterback hurries … (vs. TSU) had a busy day, finishing with 1.5 sacks for minus 13 yards and two TFLs along with four total tackles ... (vs. GT) finished with one sack and five tackles ... also had two quarterback hurries ... (vs. UVa) recovered a fumble by UVa quarterback Bryson Spinner in the first quarter ... also assisted on one tackle ... (vs. WFU) made three tackles before leaving the game with a sprained ankle ... 2000 (Sophomore): A five-game starter at defensive end who appeared in 10 games overall … totaled 22 tackles, including three for losses … registered four quarterback hurries … opened the first two games as a starting defensive end … also had starts vs. Wake Forest, Duke and NC State … had a season-high seven tackles in the Florida State game … also had four tackles each vs. Temple and Clemson.

1999 (Redshirt Freshman): A six-game contributor who recorded five tackles … three stops vs. Western Carolina, two vs. West Virginia.

1998 (Freshman): Redshirt season.

High School: A 1998 graduate of Lansdowne High School ... selected first team All-Baltimore County as a senior in 1997 ... played both defensive end and fullback ... led the team with eight sacks as a senior in addition to rushing for 351 yards and five touchdowns on just 57 carries ... played in the Baltimore County Senior All-Star game and was selected to the Mason-Dixon Shrine Classic ... as a junior in 1996, he led the team to its first winning season in 10 years, registering four sacks and rushing for 375 yards and two touchdowns ... was selected first team All-Baltimore County as a linebacker ... also lettered in basketball and track ... high school coach was Frank Meehan.
