On Crawford: Fifth-year senior who successfully returned from surgery on a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee and posted a strong 2001 campaign at right tackle … had not missed a start in his career prior to the injury, which happened in practice prior to the 2000 North Carolina game … came on strong this past spring and has noticeably improved his mobility from a year ago … a gutsy player with good size and strength … a career 31-game starter entering his senior year … earned his bachelor’s degree this past spring.

2001 (Junior): Started all 11 games and the Orange Bowl at right tackle ... a second team All-ACC selection on an offense that finished 11th nationally in rushing and 16th in total offense … named the recipient of the Brian Piccolo Award, an honor given to the Atlantic Coast Conference football player who is considered the conference’s “most courageous” … had the fewest missed assignments of any Maryland lineman and was flagged for just two penalties all season … graded out as the Terps’ top offensive lineman vs. Eastern Michigan ... graded out as the team’s second-best lineman vs. North Carolina, West Virginia and Virginia ... played a season-high 87 snaps vs. Virginia.

2000 (Sophomore): Nine-game starter at right tackle who missed the final two contests after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee … the injury occurred in practice just prior to the North Carolina game … the injury snapped his string of consecutive starts at 20 … helped Maryland finish second in the ACC in fewest sacks allowed.

1999 (Redshirt Freshman): Second-team Freshman All-America selection by The Sporting News as a redshirt freshman … started all 11 games at right tackle for an offensive unit that led the ACC and finished 12th nationally in rushing yards per game (231.4) … part of an offensive line that allowed a league low 11 sacks … the Terps finished 54th nationally in total offense, jumping 51 spots from the previous year.

1998: (Freshman) Redshirt season.

High School: Graduated from Moravia (N.Y.)
