The Maryland football team, in conjunction with the Terrapin Club, hosted their annual Crab Feast on Wednesday evening at the Samuel Riggs Alumni Center.
The annual event coincides with the conclusion of the football team's final training camp practice.
Over 400 donors joined head coach Randy Edsall, Director of Athletics Kevin Anderson and the 2013 football program for an entertaining evening, featuring steamed Maryland crabs and live music.
"We always enjoy this terrific event," Edsall said. "It's is a great time to meet and visit with our donors before the start of the season. They are very committed and enthusiastic about our program and we appreciate all of their support for our student-athletes."
Prior to the dinner, the donors took in the team's final practice of preseason camp at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium.
Edsall shared that he was very pleased with the progress through the preseason and the improvement his team displayed over the last three weeks.
"We have some dynamic skill players on offense with Stefon [Diggs], Nigel [King], Brandon [Ross] and Albert [Reid]," Edsall said.
"C.J. Brown had a great camp and showed no effects from his injury. We have guys that really can run - with great length and speed at the linebacker position and a very experienced group in the secondary. Our defensive line has developed and we have plenty of depth defensively."
The Terps now turn their focus to the regular season home opener against Florida International on Saturday, Aug. 31 at 12:30 p.m. at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium.
