Alan Weber is in his third season as Maryland’s Assistant Director of Football Strength and Conditioning, assisting with the training and development of the football team.
Prior to coming to Maryland, Weber spent the previous two seasons at the University of Iowa as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. During his tenure at Iowa he assisted with the development of the football team that participated in two bowl games during his two years.
Weber attended Southern Illinois University working as a graduate assistant where he completed his master's degree in exercise science. While working on his master's degree he worked with football, baseball, basketball and men’s and women’s golf. From January of 2004 until July of 2007, he worked as an intern at the University of Iowa assisting with the football team.
Weber is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and a strength and conditioning coach certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.A native of Argyle, Iowa, Weber attended the University of Iowa where he earned a bachelor's degree in health and sports studies. He and his wife, Amanda, have a daughter (Alaina).
