Drew Wilson is in his fifth season as Maryland’s Director of Strength and Conditioning, overseeing the training and development of the football team.

Wilson spent the previous five seasons at the University of Connecticut under Randy Edsall where he helped lead the Huskies to bowl games in each of the last four years.

Prior to his stint in Storrs, Conn., Wilson was an assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Kansas from January 2005 to May 2006 working with football, men's basketball and golf.

From September of 2004 until January 2005 he worked at Florida State University assisting with football, baseball and track and field programs.

Wilson attended Springfield College working as a graduate assistant where he completed his master's degree in exercise science. While working on his master's degree, he served internships at the University of Maryland and Auburn University.

Wilson is a registered strength and conditioning coach (RSCC) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a strength and conditioning coach certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, certified Level 1 coach from the United States Weightlifting Association, and is also certified in the Functional Movement Screen. A native of Yardley, Pa, Wilson attended King's College where he played football and earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and sociology. He and his wife, Marguerite, have a daughter (Makaela) and two sons (Andrew Jr. and Isaac).
