FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - After a stellar first season in College Park, Stefon Diggs was named to the Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-America Team on Monday.

Diggs, whose 1,896 all-purpose yards in 2012 were the second most in school history, earned the honor as an all-purpose player. The Gaithersburg, Md., native was one of 30 players on the team, including two others from the ACC in Duke Johnson of Miami and Ronald Darby of Florida State.

On the season, Diggs averaged 172.4 all-purpose yards per game and a team-high 77.1 receiving yards per game. He also led the team in catches (54) and receiving touchdowns (6).
