As a junior (2013): Started in 22 of 24 games and saw action in all...notched an assist on Terps' fourth goal in win at Temple (Sept. 1)...scored Terps' first goal off a penalty corner vs. Miami (Ohio) (Sept. 15)...along with defense, helped notch Terps' fifth shutout of the year at American (Oct. 13)...scored Terps' second goal in 5-1 win at #7 Duke off penalty corner in the 16th minute (Nov. 2)...picked up two total assists in 4-1 win over #18 American (Nov. 16)...member of 2013 ACC Championship team...named to NFHCA National Academic Squad and ACC Honor Roll.
As a sophomore (2012): Started in 20 of the Terps' games and saw action in all...scored first goal of the season off a corner in 42nd minute in Terps win at #14 Wake Forest (Sept. 22)...scored off a corner in Terps' win over American (Oct. 22)...named to NFHCA National Academic Squad and ACC Honor Roll.
As a freshman (2011): Saw action in all 23 games and started in the last 10...scored first career goal at Rutgers in regular season finale (Oct. 30)...notched first career point with an assist vs. Towson (Oct. 19)...made first career start at American (Oct. 16)...named to ACC Honor Roll.
Before Maryland: Played for the German National Under-18 team...also played for the club team Muenchner SC since she was 10...team finished second in its league twice...she was twice named the Most Valuable Player in the league tournament (2008, 2010)...played field hockey since she was five years old.
Personal: Parents are Anette and Peter Schneid...has one older sister, Veronika, who plays field hockey for a club in Munich...first visited Maryland in June 2011...came to Maryland because of the coaching staff, as well as the campus and facilities...had an interest in playing in the U.S...psychology major.
