Maryland won its weekend opener against Virginia, however, taking three consecutive sets en route to victory. Kelsey Hrebenach had a career-high 12 blocks in the effort, as the Terps accumulated 18 total blocks.

Florida State is an excellent offensive team, ranking in the top-five among ACC teams in hitting percentage, kills and assists. The Seminoles are averaging 13.00 assists/s this season, led by the combination of Sarah Wickstrom (6.84/s) and Hailey Luke (4.81/s). Nicole Walch leads the team with 3.68 kills/s.

Receiving votes in the latest AVCA national poll, the Hurricanes have swept away their competition as of late with victories in seven of their last eight matches. Miami has defeated Maryland in nine consecutive meetings dating back to 2008.

Miami is led by defensive specialist Ryan Shaffer, who is second in the conference with 4.73 digs/s. Meanwhile, Savanah Leaf is third in the ACC with 3.93 kill/s and Blair Fuentez is fourth with 10.38 assists/s.

Miami is coached by Keno Gandara, who took over the program on March 20, 2013. He spent the last eight years as an assistant at the University of Washington.

Sophomore Kelsey Hrebenach tallied 12 blocks (1s, 11a) in the Terps' four-set victory over the Cavaliers last weekend, becoming the first Maryland player to accomplish the feat since 2011. The mark is the highest this season in the conference for a four-set match.

Maryland had 31 blocks as a team last weekend, including 18 against Virginia. The 18 blocks is a season-high for the Terps.

Digging Deep

Harper leads the ACC with 4.93 digs/s, notching at least 20 kills in her last five contests. She is just 153 digs away from the Maryland all-time record, and needs about 31 more sets to break the record if she continues at her current pace.

The freshman had a memorable weekend at the net, hitting at a .447 clip with 20 kills and 11 blocks over the course of two matches. MacGregor's 12 kills against Virginia Tech were a career-high.

Coaching Milestone

Tim Horsmon is in his sixth season in charge of the Maryland volleyball team and earned his 300th career victory against Georgia Tech earlier this season. All three coaches in Maryland volleyball history garner at least 300 career victories.
