ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Sophomore Myah Hicks finished 10th to lead the University of Maryland women's cross country team to a fourth-place finish at the Navy Salty Dog Invitational Saturday morning in Annapolis, Md.
Hicks finished the 6-kilometer course in 23:01 to pace the Terrapins. Senior Anna Roth came in 18th overall, running the course in 23:39.
Non-scoring finishers for the Terps were freshman Katie Nappi (24:35), sophomore Maeve McCoy (24:51), freshman Emily VandeWater (24:57), junior Kallie Fehr (24:59), freshman Jackie Lazzaro (25:12), junior Caitlin Orr (25:20), sophomore Sarah Vossler (25:42), junior Bridget Nolan (26:09) and sophomore Sydney King (26:53).
Maryland finished the meet with 121 points. Navy won its home meet with 29 points, followed by Johns Hopkins with 41. Malone University came in third with 101 points. Loyola, George Washington and UMBC finished fifth through seventh, respectively.
The Terrapin next compete at the Lehigh Paul Short Invitational on Sept. 29 in Bethlehem, Pa.
