Complete All-ACC Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Maryland juniors Ashleigh Crutcher and Adreené Elliott have been selected to the 2013 All-ACC Volleyball Team, as announced Wednesday by Commissioner John Swofford. Crutcher earned second team honors, while Elliott was named to the third team.

Crutcher’s dominance at the net was evident in 2013, tallying a team-high 3.95 kills/s and notching 304 kills despite missing 11 matches due to injury. She was also second on the team in service aces (17) and third in digs/s (2.18). It is her second consecutive All-ACC honor.

In addition to posting eight double-doubles, Crutcher totaled more than 20 kills in four matches. The Raleigh, N.C. native’s most impressive effort came on Oct. 13, 2013, when she garnered half (24) of the Terps’ kills (48) in a four-set victory against Pittsburgh.

One of the most consistent Terrapins, Elliott appeared in all 121 sets en route to setting career-highs in both kills (331) and kills/s (2.44). The Winston Salem, N.C. native had a stretch of six games from Sept. 21-Oct. 13 in which she posted double-digit kills, including a career-high 19 kills against Marshall.

Elliott is currently riding an incredible streak of 279 consecutive sets played. The junior has not missed a set since Oct. 15, 2011, and has played 358 of a possible 361 sets during her career.

Crutcher and Elliott mark the Maryland volleyball program’s final recipients of All-ACC honors, as the school transitions to the Big Ten next year. Including the pair this season, the Terps garnered 47 All-ACC selections during their tenure in the conference.
