As a junior (2001): Played in all 16 games, drawing the starting nod on face-offs 11 times … split face-off duties with Ryan Moran … won 51.4 percent (72-of-140) of his face-offs, led the team in all face-off categories (face-off percentage, wins and total) … scooped up 23 groundballs … Won 50 percent of his draws vs. Air Force (2/24) and Denver (2/25) … captured eight-of-13 draws at Towson (3/10) … dominated face-offs at Delaware (3/17), winning 12-of-13 for a career single-game best 92.3 percent … also grabbed season-best four groundballs at Delaware … won six-of-11 draws against UNC (3/24) and six-of-12 vs. Virginia (3/31) … captured 60 percent of his face-offs at Yale (4/28) … member of the ACC Honor Roll.

As a sophomore (2000): Played in all 16 games, taking the opening draw in three contests … led the team in total face-offs (126), winning 49 … scooped up 33 groundballs … scooped up four groundballs and won five of 11 draws in season opener against Mount St. Mary’s (2/27) … won impressive eight-of-11 (72.7 percent) face-offs and gained career-best six groundballs in win over Bucknell (3/7), as he drew his first college start … after limited duty for the remainder of the month of March he won five-of-11 draws and equaled career-best of six groundballs against Navy (4/8) … had career game against Duke (4/21) in the ACC semifinals, winning career-high 11 of 15 (73.3 percent) face-offs against Blue Devil Scott Bross, who entered the game as the nation’s third best face-off man at 65.5 percent … won his first eight face-offs against Duke through three quarters as Maryland won 7-6 … gained second career starting face-off in ACC title game against Virginia (4/23) … also started against UMBC (5/6).

As a freshman (1999): Played in nine games … took 11 face-offs, winning five … won five of eight draws in collegiate debut against Providence (2/27) … also took face-offs against Virginia (4/3) and Johns Hopkins (4/16).

Before Maryland: Three-sport athlete at Chaminade High School in Mineola, N.Y. … earned two letters in lacrosse under coach Jack Moran … captained lacrosse team as a senior … earned all-league as a junior and senior … Flyers compiled a 17-3 record during his two years … also lettered in football as a running back … member of wrestling team for two seasons, posting a 14-7 individual record.
