Maryland in 10th After First Day of Marsh Landing

PONTE VERDA, Fla. - The Maryland women's golf team currently stands tied for 10th after shooting a 601 (298-303) in the first two rounds at the Marsh Creek Invitational. Sophomore Juliet Vongphoumy continued her consistent play, posting a one-over 145 (72-73) on the day. The Providence, R.I. native is currently tied for 12th six shots behind the leader.

Freshman Christine Shimel sits towards the front of the pack tied for 44th after recording a 151 (76-75).
