As a Redshirt Freshman (2013): Appeared in 47 games with 39 starts … made 24 starts in LF and 14 starts in RF … posted a .245 batting average with five doubles and 21 RBI … tied for the team lead with three triples … ranked second on the team in home runs (3) … had the fourth-best slugging percentage (.385) on the club … hit his first career home run against James Madison (3/19) ... finished 2-for-5 with three RBI and a home run against VCU (4/9) ... recorded three hits, three RBI and two runs scored at George Mason (4/10) ... had three hits, including the game winner, along with a career-high four RBI in a game one win over Virginia Tech (4/20) ... drove in two runs against Liberty (4/23) … scored a season-high three runs at Towson (4/24) ... tied a career high with three hits including a double and a triple against VCU (5/8).
As a Freshman (2012): Did not make an appearance.
At Sherwood: A three-year varsity letterwinner for the Warriors playing third base and left field ... also lettered four years in golf becoming a state finalist as a freshman ... finished with a .412 batting average as a junior to help lead the Warriors to the Maryland 4A state title ... hit .396 as a senior in 2011.
Personal: Son of Michael and Lynda Papio ... lists Robert Galligan as his sports hero ... also recruited by Georgetown and Towson ... is majoring in criminology and criminal justice.
