As a Senior (2011-12): Went 5-5 at 174 pounds and 197 pounds...2-0 in matches decided by fall...pinned Franklin & Marshall's Matt Fullowan to begin the season...reached the quarterfinals of the Nittany Lion Open after pinning Scott Watson of Navy Prep (12/4).
As a Junior (2010-11): Went 22-10 as the starter at 184 pounds...finished at 12-5 in dual bouts...named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division I Individual All-Academic team...NCAA qualifier...topped Duke's Diego Bencomo 3-1 for the ACC title...named ACC Wrestler of the Week on Jan. 25 for upset win over No. 8 Luke Rebertus of Navy...named to the All-ACC team...opened the season with a 17-0 technical fall over Johns Hopkins' Ben Finelli at the Terrapin Duals.
As a Sophomore (2009-10): The starter at 184 pounds ... went 21-15 overall and 11-10 in dual meets ... had a 5-0 record in matches decided by pin-fall ... went 3-2 at Midlands, including a 10-5 win over No. 7 Mike Miller of Central Michigan.
As a Freshman (2008-09): Emerged as starter at 174 pounds, putting together several impressive performances before ankle injury forced him out of action mid-season ... returned late in the season to finish third at the ACC Championship ... finished 14-12 overall ... 4-6 in dual matches ... took two matches by technical fall and one by pin.
Before Maryland: Rhode Island state champion in 2004 and 2005 for the Bucs.
