As a Freshman (2006-07): Tied for the team lead in wins, posting a 30-7 record ... led the team with 10 major decisions and also recorded four technical falls and a pin ... first true freshman to advance to the NCAA Tournament since 1990 ... advanced to the NCAA Tournament where he won 2 matches ... went undefeated in ACC action and won the ACC Championship at 174 pounds ... was ranked as high as No. 10 in the nation in his weight class during the season ... won the ACC Championship... rattled off nine straight wins from the Body Bar Systems Invitational (11/18/06), which he finished third, to the Southern Scuffle ... opened the season with five consecutive victories, one by technical fall and one by major decision.
