As a Freshman: Regular starter for Maryland at 165 pounds … posted a 5-6 dual record … 17-16 overall for the season … recorded three falls … finished fourth in the ACC Tournament … won his first-ever collegiate match with a 6-2 decision of Dave Bubnowski in the East Stroudsburg Open … took four of six matches at the Wilkes Open … finished third at the Millersville Belles Tournament by winning his final three matches … won his first career dual and first ACC match by defeating John Grochowski of NC State on Jan. 22 … put together a streak of four consecutive dual victories from Feb. 16 through March 6 … pinned Old Dominion's Alex Plasencia in the final minute of the third period to lead the Terps to an upset win over the Monarchs … defeated NC State's Kyle Guffey, 14-6, in the first round of the ACC Tournament.
Before Maryland: Came to Maryland after a post-graduate year at Blair Academy in Blairstown, N.J.,where he compiled a 14-10 record … attended Archbishop Curley High School in Baltimore, Md. … captained a team for his final two seasons that reached the No. 1 ranking in Maryland … state champ as a senior … runner-up as a junior … national prep champion … earned all-metro and all city-county first team … 38-2 record as a senior … finished 31-3 as a junior.
