As a Junior (2012-13): Started at 125 pounds for the Terps...posted a 17-12 record and went 11-8 duals with three falls...tallied a team-high five reversals in dual competition and had 20 dual takedowns, which ranked fifth on the team...opened the year with eight consecutive wins including four at the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic to claim the title...earned a 5-4 decision over No. 19 Camden Eppert of Purdue at the Northeast Duals...pinned Rider's Patrick Skinner to open the Midlands Championships...earned a 4-3 decision over eighth-ranked Matt Snyder of Virginia in a dual meet.
As a Sophomore (2011-12): Started for the Terps at 125 pounds...went 14-8 on the season with three major decisions...placed second at the ACC Championships to earn first trip to the NCAA Championships...named to the All-ACC team...placed second at the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Invitational (11/12).
As a Freshman (2010-11): Earned the starting spot at 125 pounds as a true freshman...went 17-13 on the season...placed third at the ACC Tournament after pinning NC State's Mike Moreno in 2:09 in the consolation finals.
Before Maryland: Compiled a 214-21 record in an illustrious career at Colonial Forge High School in Virginia ... a four-time district and region champions, as well as a four-time state placer ... won the state title at 119 pounds as a senior in 2009 ... spent the 2009-10 season at Navy Prep School where he went 22-0 and claimed the NCWA National Championship.
