Maryland Wrestlers Face Virginia Tech

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland Terrapin wrestling team will seek its third-straight win Friday night against Virginia Tech at Comcast Pavilion. The first bout is scheduled for 7 p.m., and admission is free. Prior to the match against the Hokies, Maryland's four seniors will be honored.

The Terps will recognize Adam DeCosmo, Jason Gribschaw, Adam James and Luke Stauffer for their contributions to the program.

Maryland will return to the Comcast Pavilion mat Saturday for a double-dual against North Carolina and Duke, capping a weekend of three ACC matches. The action will begin at 1 p.m.

The Terps (3-7, 1-0 ACC) are looking for their second-straight ACC win of the season after defeating NC State, 28-6, on Jan. 13. In its last outing, Maryland picked up five bonus point victories on its way to a 26-15 over VMI.

The Hokies (0-11, 0-0 ACC) are coming off a 38-10 loss to Ohio State their last time out. Virginia Tech does have two ranked wrestlers in its lineup in David Hoffman (141) and Mike Faust (HWT).
