Wrestling Signs Two Recruits

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland head wrestling coach Kerry McCoy has announced the signing of two Pennsylvania athletes during the fall signing period.

Jimmy Sheptock of Northampton, Pa., and Dallas Brown of Hanover, Pa., have officially pledged to become Terrapins, beginning next season.

Sheptock, who could wrestle at 157 or 165 pounds, comes from national powerhouse Northampton High School Wrestling for the Konkrete Kids, Sheptock has already amassed 103 career wins this far into his senior season. Sheptock was a National High School Coaches Association sophomore and junior national champion.

Brown comes from Delone Catholic School, where he was a varsity starter all four years. Brown will compete at either 184 or 197 pounds. As a junior, Brown was the Southeast regional champion and placed fourth in the state at 189 pounds. As a sophomore, Brown was a District III champion and state qualifier. He was also a FILA Cadet Greco All-American runner-up.
