COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland wrestler Hudson Taylor won four awards and James Knox also took home some hardware, giving the Terrapins' wrestling program five award winners at last week's 13th Annual Maryland Alumni President's Cup Brunch co-sponsored by the M Club and Terrapin Club, which took place at the Riggs Alumni Center.
Taylor, who finished third nationally at 197 pounds this season to earn all-American status for the second consecutive season, earned the Talbot T. Speer Award, Silvester Watch Award, an ICA Community Service Award, as well as an ACC Community Service Award.
With four awards, Taylor left the brunch as the most-decorated Maryland athlete.
Knox won the team's Academic Achievement Award, given to the junior or senior from each of Maryland's 27 varsity sports who achieved the highest GPA.
