COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The 17th-ranked University of Maryland wrestling team travels to Bethlehem, Pa. this weekend, where it will face the Lehigh Mountain Hawks in a dual meet Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Terrapins (1-1-1) are facing a Lehigh team now coached by Pat Santoro, who guided the Terps the last five seasons, including an ACC Championship a year ago. First-year Maryland head coach Kerry McCoy also has ties to Lehigh, as he previously served there as an assistant coach.

Maryland began dual competition last weekend, going 1-1-1 at the Fighting Scot Duals in Edinboro, Pa., tying Army, defeating Findlay and losing to No. 15 Edinboro. The dual against the Terps marks the season opener for the Mountain Hawks.

Lehigh leads the all-time series, 12-3-1. However, the Terps dominated the Mountain Hawks in College Park, Md. last season, claiming a 25-9 victory.

Lehigh is expected to send four nationally-ranked wrestlers to the mat, with the Terps countering with three of their own.

The 133-pound and 149-pounds matches are expected to feature a pair of ranked competitors each. No. 12 Steven Bell will take the mat for Maryland against No. 20 Matt Fisk at 133 pounds. At 149 pounds, No. 14 Eric Medina will face No. 15 Trevor Chinn. Medina won a 5-3 deicision against Chinn last year.

Four Terps went a perfect 3-0 last weekend: Brendan Byrne (125 pounds), Bell, Alex Krom (141 pounds) and No. 2 Hudson Taylor (197 pounds).

Maryland wrestling will also be represented Sunday at the Wolfpack Open at NC State.
