COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Several University of Maryland wrestlers are scheduled to compete at the East Stroudsburg Open Saturday as the Terrapins take a week off from dual action to participate in one of the longest-running Division I tournaments in existence.

The event, held at East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, Pa., is expected to draw in more than 400 competitors from around the country. Competition will begin at 9 a.m. and run throughout the day. The top three placers in each weight class will receive awards.

An official list of Maryland competitors has not yet been determined. While several Terps will compete Saturday, only six will officially represent the University.

"I am excited that some of our guys will get another opportunity to compete this weekend," Maryland head coach Kerry McCoy said. "The ESU Open is a great tournament and I am looking forward to seeing how we do."
